Tulip or not Tulip

I recently visited Amsterdam, Holland and wanted to visit the Tulip fields because it was the perfect time to, although was unable to since tickets were booked up. They still had the flower parade in town though, but I didn't see it as I didn't plan my trip well enough. I got into town and was able to see the Van Gogh museum which was incredible. I am not into art myself, however I was able to interpret the art as I wanted to and could openly feel about it how I felt. While I was there they also had a Keifer exhibit on display so I saw that too, which his impressionist works were inspired by Van Gogh. This was all I did on day one since I was tired from travelling, although day two held a lot more. On Day two, I was woken up by a firealarm although there was no fire. I was very calm about it due to all the times having to do fire drills in school, which I couldn't tell if that was a good thing or a bad thing. But then I got ready for the day and took the bus to town where I wandered around all day until the afternoon where I decided to walk to the floating flower market since that was the next best thing outside of the Tulip fields. When I got there, I was amazed at how lovely everything was and how beautiful the flowers were. I spent the better part of an hour and a half there, looking through everytihng seeing if I wanted to buy anything or if I just wanted to explore. The urge to buy something just became too large and I did what you should do in Amsterdam, I bought Tulip bulbs to bring back to the United States. Although mine were special because the Dutch government signed off on mine that they were allowed to be brought back to the United States. While I was enthrawled in the flower market I forgot the busy world around me although people kept bumping into me and going about their day also looking at flowers, so I was wondering if I was the only one who was captured by the flowers beauty. This brought me back to the Seamus Heaney poem "Death of a Naturalist" in which he describes nature as alive and that is what I felt in the moment.
